01 / Challenge
Teachers at learning centers spent hours building, printing and hand-grading tests, and students had little reason to practise between lessons.
02 / Idea
Move the whole test cycle online: generate questions with AI, grade automatically, and wrap practice in a game layer students actually want to come back to.
03 / Process
- Helped build the Next.js web dashboard teachers use to assemble and assign tests.
- Built native Android screens in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on an MVVM architecture.
- Integrated AI-assisted test generation and automated grading.
- Worked on the gamification engine — XP and leaderboards — plus anti-cheat checks for exam integrity.
- Kept web and mobile in sync in real time with Firebase and Retrofit.
04 / Outcome
Edify now serves 10+ learning centers and 300+ active users with a bank of 100K+ questions, and cuts teacher preparation time by more than half.
